Fallon Smalberg, LMSW
Fallon Smalberg received her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University and is currently pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Clinical Psychology. While at Fordham University, Fallon earned her hours towards licensure working with a variety of diverse populations. These populations included those from differing racial and ethnic backgrounds, individuals without homes, New York City employees, breast cancer survivors and previvors, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Fallon’s areas of specialty are grief, relationships, LGBTQIA+, and body image. While working at CBT/EMDR Associates, Fallon is working towards becoming a certified EMDR therapist and mastering her skills related to trauma, anxiety, and OCD. Fallon describes her therapeutic style as eclectic, combining techniques from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and art therapy.
In addition to her clinical work, Fallon has been published in the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology. This research comes from her job as a research assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles Childhood OCD, Anxiety, and Tic Disorder Program.
Fun fact, Fallon is also an artist who specializes in nude custom portraiture and is committed to helping people reclaim the meaning, value, and beauty in their bodies through art and therapy! Fallon founded an art business committed to thoughtful giving and donates a portion of the proceeds every month to organizations that are in accord with Fallon’s philosophy of the healing power of communities that stand for unity, kindness, and love.
